Green Gaming Seminar Series 2025

Today, I had the privilege of delivering a presentation on my research at a seminar series focusing on green gaming. As a Management & Marketing discipline student testing academic theory within video game to television transmedia and adaptation, I was inspired and educated by the researchers around me who focus on green gaming and ecodemia as a research focus.

The purpose of my own participation in this seminar series was to consider the application of my research within a different context. My hope is that sharing my work, and networking with specialists in this field, open doors to collaboration and expanding my own knowledge base at the wider level of video game studies that I am positioned within a niche of.

What I gained for today was more experience in presenting my research and successfully networking with other researchers, not only from the UK but situated around the globe. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to other presentations I have had the pleasure of attending so far, with two more seminar sessions in November to look forward to continuing to learn and connect.
